Adventures in Learning on Friday, July 28
Shepherd Center’s will hold their annual “Adventures in Learning” at East Side Park on Friday, July 28th. The featured speaker will be Scott Roepke, manager of the Cannon Valley Trail. Scott will talk about the latest developments of the trail and what it means to the Cannon Falls area. Providing live music will be a local group, “Down Home” featuring Bluegrass, Gospel and Old Time. Loren Evenrud will have an update on the historic wheat trail tour coming up on September 6th.The even gets underway at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 31st and is open to the public with all ages welcome. A complimentary lunch featuring brats on the grill will be served after the program. Those attending are asked to RSVP by calling 507-263-2136.
Jodi Falk is new Administrative Assitant
Long time administrative assistant Twyla Geiken officially retired at the end of May. She is now living in Brownton, next to her youngest son and we wish her nothing but the best. Shepherd's Center was very fortunate to find Jodi Falk who has now taken over the Administrative Assistant position. Please stop by and welcome Jodi to Shepherd's Center!
Shepherd's Center is excited to announce they are sponsoring a trip to Colorado! The group will depart Cannon Falls on September 10th and return September 16th. Shepherd’s Center is planning another outing to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater. The group will take in the show “Grease” on October 25th for a matinee performance. The cost is $80, which includes the show, dinner and transportation. Those wanting to attend should RSVP by contacting Shepherd’s Center at 507-263-2136.
