consider helping out. If a regular schedule doesn’t work, we are also looking for substitute drivers. Meals-on-Wheels are delivered here in Cannon Falls, Monday through Friday’s, between 11 a.m. and noon.
Thank you to all who stopped by and enjoyed an afternoon of games and fellowship this past Thursday at Shepherd’s Center!
Remember, the public is always welcome to stop in and enjoy our library, use our computers with internet access, watch television, pay Wii games, maybe walk in the gym on a rainy day, or just enjoy a cup of coffee and some socializing. Shepherd’s Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. till 3 p.m.
Like many non-profit organizations, finding enough funds to continue our programs is a huge challenge. Donations seem to
drop in the summer months, and without the financial support of the community, we would not be able to continue the many programs offered. Our goal is to continue to serve the seniors and all residents of the Cannon Valley. One hundred percent of our entire budget comes directly from our community and is spent in the community. We want to thank all of you who have help support us financially, and respectfully request your continued investment in the work of the Shepherd’s Center.
I enjoy reading and strive to always be reading a book. I especially enjoy reading history and World War II books. Having recently read IKE, An American Hero by Michael Korda, I’d like to leave you with one of his many quotes; “A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both, “Dwight D. Eisenhower.
